4 CFM Oilless Vacuum Pump

This 4CFM oil-less vacuum pump is imported from Asia.  We tested 5 different imported pumps and this one came out on top.  We import very little here at Robust, but there aren’t any US made options that fall into a woodturner’s budget.

This pump is rated at 4CM, which is more than enough for any woodturning vacuum chucking operation, and has enough capacity to make up for some minor leaks in your system or because of porous wood.  It runs quiet and smooth compared to some other pumps, and unlike vacuum generators, you don’t need to listen to a noisy compressor.  The switch for the pump is located in the 6′ cord.

This pump is rated at 27″ of mercury at sea level.  As your elevation increases this number will decrease slightly.  Here in Wisconsin, we get 24-25″ of mercury.
