6.0 Vac. Chuck, Seal and Built in Adapter

This 6.0″ vacuum chuck is machined in our shop from solid 6061 aluminum and includes an integral rotary adapter. If fits lathes with 1-1/4″ x 8TPI spindles.
The built in rotary adapter consists of two precision sealed bearings and a stainless steel hose barb that we also machine. You will attach a piece of tubing (included) to the barb that will run through the spindle hole of your lathe, providing the hole is bigger than .4″ or about 10mm. The tube from your vacuum pump will then attach to this tubing.
The polymer seal on the chuck has multiple sealing ridges and is 3D printed. The chuck comes with a Tommy-bar for removal.
This is our largest vacuum chuck. With a vacuum of 20-25″ of mercury, this chuck should provide approximately 250 to 310 lbs. of holding force. For even more holding pressure, buy our Universal Hub and build your own large capacity chuck.
